🧐Samsung Magsafe phone case compatibility issue
Recently, I have discovered that many friends who use Samsung series mobile phones have questions about the compatibility of Auckly's Magsafe charger. So in today’s article I will analyze why this problem occurs.
First of all, we need to explain the principle of wireless charging again: Wireless charging is a charging method that transmits electric energy to electronic devices through the principle of electromagnetic induction. Compared with the traditional wired charging method, it does not require direct connection of cables to transmit electric energy. The basic principle is to use two coils that induce each other: one is the sending end (charger), and the other is the receiving end (charging device, such as a mobile phone). When the transmitting end is energized, an alternating current is generated to form a changing magnetic field in the transmitting coil. This changing magnetic field penetrates into the coil at the receiving end, thereby generating an induced current at the receiving end. This induced current goes through a rectification and regulation process and is ultimately used to charge the battery or power supply of the charging device. The key to wireless charging lies in electromagnetic induction, which achieves energy transmission through induced currents generated by changing magnetic fields. It is worth noting that although it is wireless charging, a certain distance and alignment between the charger and the device are still required to ensure effective transmission of energy.
In other words, normal charging depends on: 1. The distance between the two sides sending and receiving current is as close as possible; 2. The two coils sending and receiving current are aligned as much as possible. Charging can be achieved after meeting these two conditions. The position of the magnetic ring of the Samsung Magsafe mobile phone case currently on the market is not aligned with the copper ring of the mobile phone that receives current. This is the main reason why Samsung mobile phones cannot perform Magsafe magnetic charging. How to test whether the charger is faulty: Take off the phone case and contact the charger with the bare metal. If the current can be received, even if it is only for a short time, it can prove that the charging function of the charger is normal (because you may not know the exact coil position ), then it’s a problem with the phone case.
